Die Ankündigung der WSV, auf den 4 Binnenstationen zusätzlich Glonass-Korrekturdaten zu versenden, gab den Ausschlag, in einer Bachelorarbeit das Genauigkeitspotenzial untersuchen zu lassen. Autor der Arbeit ist Herr Altebockwinkel Student an der FH Bochum. Die Untersuchungen wurden mit dem GEOmeter MX hybrid durchgeführt.

Die Arbeit zeigt, dass in freier Lage eine hervorragende Genauigkeit im DGNSS-Modus, d.h. GPS/Glonass unter Nutzung des Beacon-Dienstes erreicht wird. So beträgt die Lageabweichung zwischen 0,1 bis 0,3 m und die Streuung um den Mittelwert zwischen 0,6 und 0.9 m in der Lage (siehe Grafik).
