Die Ankündigung der WSV, auf den 4 Binnenstationen zusätzlich Glonass-Korrekturdaten zu versenden, gab den Ausschlag, in einer Bachelorarbeit das Genauigkeitspotenzial untersuchen zu lassen. Autor der Arbeit ist Herr Altebockwinkel Student an der FH Bochum. Die Untersuchungen wurden mit dem GEOmeter MX hybrid durchgeführt.
Die Arbeit zeigt, dass in freier Lage eine hervorragende Genauigkeit im DGNSS-Modus, d.h. GPS/Glonass unter Nutzung des Beacon-Dienstes erreicht wird. So beträgt die Lageabweichung zwischen 0,1 bis 0,3 m und die Streuung um den Mittelwert zwischen 0,6 und 0.9 m in der Lage (siehe Grafik).

 The MXbox hybrid is completing the product family GEOmeter MX for another, the state of the art, GNSS receiver.

The MXbox is equipped with 14 or 28 receive channels. With the free EGNOS correction data services or Beacon accuracies to 0.4 m can be achieved. One advantage for the measurement in the shaded areas is the modern initialisationprocess with both systems - GPS and GLONASS satellites.

 The National Forest Inventory - NFI (Bundeswaldinventur; BWI) is a large-scale survey of forest status and forest production potential conducted on a random basis and using a uniform procedure for the entire territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.
For the inventory is employed modern mobile IT technologies are consisting of Outdoor computer, forestal recording equipment and GNSS receiver. A network of GPS/Glonass reference stations exists in Germany for a short time.
