For the inventory is employed modern mobile IT technologies are consisting of Outdoor computer, forestal recording equipment and GNSS receiver. A network of GPS/Glonass reference stations exists in Germany for a short time. They are operated by the WSV (Wasser- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung). The GNSS-corrections are radiated free of cost about the medium wave (MW). Geosat developed a receiver with the "MXbox hybrid" for this application area. The MXbox consists of a GPS/Glonass receiver, beacon radio and Bluetooth class1.
